Linear chain (partly reversible rate laws)

The model describes a chain of enzymatic reactions with mass-action kinetics. The forward and reverse rate constants are chosen such that the equilibrium constants are larger than 1. The benefit function scores the average flux (i.e., the rate of product production). Predefined oscillations in the initial substrate X1 promote a wave of enzyme activity along the chain.
