Spontaneous enzyme rhythm in ceoncerted action model (fast adaptation)

This model shows how enzyme rhythms can enable "concerted actions" in metabolism and thus become beneficial. The first intermediate C1 can be subsequently converted into C2, C3, and C4 (whose production rate should be maximized). However, the production of C4 also requires C1. The enzyme producing C4 would become more efficient if C1 and C3 oscillate in phase. This can be achieved by an orchestrated enzyme rhythm.
