Wolfram Liebermeister is a theoretical systems biology researcher at INRAE Jouy-en-Josas. He studied physics, holds a PhD in theoretical biophysics, and co-authored a popular textbook on Systems Biology. In his work on cell metabolism, he highlights functional aspects such as control, variability, and optimality. Recent projects concern the prediction of protein investments in cells, based on computational models of metabolism and on the theory of Metabolic Economics.
